Failed Dekton worktop repair redone in Oadby
A customer in Oadby, Leicester, saw my Instagram and offered me a premium to travel well outside my usual area, so I could remove a failed repair on his Dekton worktop and redo it properly using UV curing resin.

The damage
This Dekton worktop had been repaired before by another company, but the repair was coming away and didn't match the surface. The customer found me through Instagram and decided he wanted only me to sort it. He offered me a premium, a considerably larger amount than I'd normally charge, to travel out to Leicester, which is well outside my usual area in Greater Manchester and the North West. I was glad he trusted me with it, and happy to make the trip.
How I repaired it
The first job was removing the failed repair, which had been done using the wrong method for this material. Once that was cleared, I repaired the damage using the UV curing resin process. It was a full day on site.
While I was there, the customer also had a damaged white floor tile that had previously been filled with mortar. At his request I filled it with colour-matched filler, as a goodwill gesture at no charge.
The result
The customer was really pleased with the finished result and left a five star review. That means a lot, especially after a bad experience the first time round.
